Me: "Do you want to go check on the boys?"
Tim: (reluctant) "Sure. Unless you want to."
(It's been a long evening. The boys were both caught with stolen property in their bedrooms--Isaiah with a DVD player and DVDs. Isaac with books. Both are cleaning out their rooms and coming up with plans to deal with the situation.)
Me: "Not really. What do you think they're up to?"
Tim: (as he headed up the stairs) "Minor misdemeanors. M4s maybe."

Okay, that cracked me up. Rich was a Leo and he would have had the same type of reaction (not cop-speak but the same kind of tone)!!!
